Four part documentary presented by Terry Jones of Monthy Python fame, originally aired on BBC2 in 2006. The documentary places the common view of the barbarian world in an entirely different perspective by comparing the Roman version of history with what modern historians have learned through recent archeology. Despite that Terry occasionally slams the Romans a bit too much the film contains a lot of interesting information, not just about barbarian civilizations but also about how history is written: by the victor - or in this case how the Catholic church has falsified history for centuries.
